This work explored the figure of the shadow as a part of ourselves that has been separated from us and symbolises our own autonomy. Using found footage of children discovering their shadows for the first time and a voice theorizing about the figure of the shadow, the viewer is drawn into considering the parts of ourselves we have learned to hide and how those hidden parts be may monstrous to others.
