Body De—
Market Gallery, Glasgow Scotland, Feb 25Body De- was a sharing of work developed during the Market Gallery Carers Studio Residency. The text ans installation trace the undoingof the artists subjectivity alongside the changing state of her mothers decomposing body. As the body transforms underground so too does the living world. The artists dialogue with her mother traces spiritual questions, political reckonings, her relationship with grief, negotiations with timlessness and the molecular processes of decay. Utilising defunct and found materials, detritus, signifiers of memorial, tape loops and personal artefact, the installation materially explores multiple processes of de-composition.
