Waterfall Tongue
Visningsrommet USF, Bergen Norway, March 2025Waterfall Tongue was a collaboration between tinja ruusuvuori and gentian rhosa. The exhibition explored themes of grief, rage and voiceless through the act of cross-border communication by screaming into waterfalls. The artists considered the social and gendered conditions that limit loud expressions of rage and sorrow, finding allyship with the waterfall as a sonic environment charged with movement and power, where the screaming voice can find release. The exhibition included a screaming workshop with hardcore vocalist Oda Bremnes where we learned to scream without hurting our throats.
