The feathers, cast in latex, hover between the organic and the artificial — their softness preserved, yet altered by a material that feels akin to skin. What is usually light enough to drift is instead held down, punctured, made still. The act of fixing becomes both tender and forceful: an attempt to secure what cannot be secured, to give form to something that resists holding.
The work moves gently between belief and doubt, between the desire to find signs and the knowledge that they cannot be proven. Each feather becomes a marker of something felt rather than known — a trace that gestures toward presence while remaining unresolved. In holding them in place, the sculpture asks what it means to try to anchor an experience that is always in movement, and what forms of care, projection or longing are contained within that gesture.
