This film explored the figure of the shadow both as visual phenomena and as a metaphor for hidden psychological material. Using found footage of children discovering their shadows for the first time and a voice theorising about the figure of the shadow, the viewer is drawn into considering the parts of themsleves they have learned to hide, the cultural orientations of fixed ideas of morality and the ongoing legacy of psychological ideas from the 19th century.
